Description

The Volkswagen T1 Food Truck is a highly detailed 3D printable model of a classic VW Splitscreen van converted into a fully deployable street food stall, featuring opening roof hatches with hydraulic-style struts, fold-down side panels, deployable awning frames, a detailed cab interior with steering wheel and dashboard, and a rear service counter section. The model is offered in two versions — open-top windowed/lights variant and a closed roof variant — making it ideal for display dioramas, tabletop gaming props, or scale model collections. All moving parts such as doors, roof panels, and side stall wings are modeled as separate components for flexible printing and assembly. Files are provided in STL format ready for FDM or resin printing.

Print settings

FDM printing is recommended for the larger structural panels (body, roof, stall walls) using PLA or PETG at 0.15–0.2 mm layer height; resin printing is advised for fine detail parts such as the awning frames, hinges, interior dashboard elements, and wheel details. Print the flat panels (roof lid, side walls, stall counter) flat on the build plate with no supports needed; the cab body should be oriented nose-down with supports under the wheel arches and door openings. An infill of 15–20% is sufficient for display pieces; increase to 30% for parts that will be handled frequently. Sand and prime joint surfaces lightly before gluing sub-assemblies together for best fit.
