Leviathan 4-4-0 Steam Locomotive STL 3D Print Model

The Steam Locomotive Leviathan is a highly detailed 3D printable model of a classic 19th-century 4-4-0 American-type steam locomotive complete with its tender. The model features an ornate diamond-stack smokestack, period-accurate cow-catcher (pilot), bell, steam dome, intricate running gear with connecting rods, spoked drive wheels, and a fully detailed engineer’s cab interior with controls. Two versions are included: a standard exterior shell and a windowed/lights variant that exposes the cab interior. Supplied as STL files ready for FDM or resin printing at any scale.

Print settings

Resin printing is strongly recommended for the fine ornamental details on the smokestack cap, bell rigging, decorative boiler fittings, and spoked wheels; FDM is viable for larger-scale prints of the main body and tender. Orient the locomotive horizontally on its side or flat on the boiler face to minimise supports on the running gear; the cow-catcher and cab roof will require light supports. Use 0.1–0.2 mm layer height, 20–30% infill, and a hard resin or PLA/ABS depending on your chosen scale and purpose.
