The hi-adhesion train bogie is a highly detailed 3D model of a heavy-duty 3-axle powered railway truck assembly, typical of high-tractive-effort electric or diesel-electric locomotives. The model captures traction motors, brake rigging, coil springs, axle boxes, sandbox pipes, and full underframe plumbing with exceptional mechanical accuracy. Suitable for scale model displays, dioramas, railway enthusiasts, and tabletop layouts, it prints as a standalone bogie unit. Supplied as STL files ready for FDM or resin printing.
Print settings
Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to preserve the fine brake linkages, piping, and motor housing detail. If printing with FDM, use a 0.2 mm layer height, tree supports with 5–8 % contact area, and orient the bogie frame horizontally to minimise support scarring on the side frames. An infill of 20–30 % is sufficient for display purposes; PETG or ABS will improve rigidity for handled models.
