Bulkhead Flatcar STL 3D Print Model

The Bulkhead Flatcar is a heavy-duty open railway freight wagon featuring two massive bulkhead end walls designed to contain and secure long or shifting loads such as lumber, pipes, or steel beams. The model showcases exceptional detail including a ribbed deck surface with tie-down fittings along both sides, two bogie (truck) assemblies, brake wheel and rigging hardware on one end, draft gear and coupler details at both ends, and access ladders on the bulkhead frames. Ideal for scale model railroading dioramas, tabletop wargaming, or display printing. Supplied as STL files ready for slicing.

Print settings

FDM printing is recommended for the main flat deck and bulkhead walls; resin printing will better capture the fine ladder rungs, chain links, brake wheel, and bogie details. Print the flat deck horizontally to avoid warping and minimise support use. The intricate bulkhead end assemblies should be printed upright with light tree supports on the outer face details. Use a 20–30% infill for structural parts and PLA or PETG for durability; resin parts benefit from ABS-like or standard grey resin.
