Description
The Siemens Vectron is a modern multi-system electric locomotive widely used across European rail networks, and this highly detailed 3D model captures its iconic streamlined bodyshell, roof-mounted pantographs, high-voltage equipment, underframe bogies, and cab interiors with exceptional accuracy. The model is provided in two versions — a standard solid version and a windowed/lights variant — making it ideal for display models, dioramas, scale railway layouts, or tabletop gaming. All major angles are covered including front, rear, lateral, top, and bottom views, showcasing the full mechanical complexity of the underframe and running gear. Files are delivered in STL format, ready to slice and print.
Print settings
FDM printing is recommended for larger display scales (1:87 HO or bigger), while resin (MSLA/SLA) will better capture the fine pantograph wires, bogie detail, and cab glazing frames at smaller scales. Print the main body upright or at a slight angle to minimize support contact on the cab windows; the pantograph assembly should be printed flat with light tree supports. Use 15–20% infill for the shell and 40%+ for bogie frames. PLA or PETG suits the body; ABS or resin is preferred for the delicate roof equipment to reduce warping.
