This 3D printable model captures the aggressive aerodynamic bodywork and competition stance of the Polo R WRC as raced during the 2015 season. Ideal for scale model enthusiasts, motorsport collectors, and diorama builders, it suits both FDM and resin printing depending on the desired level of detail. The model is provided in STL format, ready to slice and print.
Print settings
Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is recommended to capture fine surface details such as the vented hood, wide arches, and aerodynamic add-ons; FDM is viable for larger display scales. Print the body shell oriented with the roof facing down or split into halves to minimize supports on exterior surfaces. Use supports on underside overhangs and wheel arch lips. An infill of 15–20% is sufficient for display purposes; increase to 30%+ for handling pieces. PLA or ABS works well for FDM; standard grey resin is ideal for post-processing and painting.
