Description
The Mazda RX-8 Rocket Bunny is a highly detailed 3D printable model of the iconic Japanese sports coupe fitted with the popular Rocket Bunny wide-body kit, as featured in Jonny Grunwald’s acclaimed 2017 build. The RX-8, known for its unique rotary engine and quad-door layout, is here rendered with the aggressive aero extensions and lowered stance characteristic of the Rocket Bunny treatment. This model is ideal for scale display builds, dioramas, and automotive enthusiasts looking to recreate a show-stopping street machine. Files are provided in STL format, ready for FDM or resin printing.
Print settings
Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is recommended for best surface detail on the wide-body panels and fine aero lines; FDM with a 0.2 mm layer height and a 0.4 mm nozzle is a viable alternative for larger scales. Print the body shell oriented with the roof down to minimise visible layer lines on the hood and doors; supports will be needed under the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser overhangs. An infill of 15–20 % is sufficient for display purposes. PLA or ABS works well for FDM; water-washable resin is recommended for detail parts.
