Description
Highly detailed 3D printable model of the CFM International CFM56-7B turbofan engine, as used on the Boeing 737 Next Generation (-600, -700, -800 & -900 series). The model faithfully reproduces the fan blades, nacelle, external harnesses, FADEC box and accessory gearbox. Available in two scales (1:10 and 1:32) as a multi-part assembly for maximum detail and printability. Supplied as a ZIP archive containing optimised STL files tested for both FDM (PLA) and resin (SLA) printing.
Print settings
This is a complex multi-part model best printed in resin (SLA/MSLA) for fine blade and harness detail; FDM with PLA at 0.1–0.15 mm layer height is also validated. Orient fan blades vertically or at a slight angle to minimise layer lines on the aerofoil surfaces, and use light supports only on overhanging harness runs. Recommended infill 15–20% for structural parts; thin blade sections can be printed solid. Sand and prime before painting for best results.
