Mercedes-Benz L3000 STL 3D Print Model

The Mercedes-Benz L3000 is a highly detailed 3D printable model of the iconic WWII German 4×2 cargo truck, widely used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. The model includes two versions: an open flatbed variant and a canvas-covered tarp version (v2), both featuring finely sculpted details such as the characteristic vertical-slat grille with three-pointed star emblem, period headlights, wooden cargo bed planking, and realistic tarp folds. Designed for tabletop wargaming, dioramas, and scale modeling at common scales (1:35, 1:56/28mm), it is delivered as high-resolution STL files ready for FDM or resin printing.

Print settings

Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to capture the fine surface detail of the grille, tarp folds, and rivets; FDM can be used for larger scales (1:35 or bigger) with a 0.2 mm nozzle and at least 4 perimeters. Print the cab and chassis horizontally with the underside facing the build plate, adding light tree supports under the fenders, running boards, and tow hook. An infill of 15–20 % is sufficient for solid parts; the canvas tarp section benefits from printing at 45° to minimise warping. Standard grey resin or PLA/PETLA in olive-drab are ideal starting materials before painting.
