The American 4-4-0 Steam Locomotive Leviathan V2 is a highly detailed 3D printable model of a classic 19th-century wood-burning steam locomotive, featuring an iconic balloon stack smokestack, ornate cab with circular windows, cowcatcher pilot, large spoked drive wheels, and intricate boiler-top fittings including bell, dome, and steam pipes. The model includes two cab variants (open windowed and solid lights version) and is presented on a short section of period-correct track with wooden ties. Print settings

Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to capture the fine ornamental details on the cab, smokestack, filigree brackets, and spoked wheels. Print the boiler body and cab horizontally to minimize layer lines on curved surfaces; smaller components such as the bell, dome, and piping should be oriented vertically with light supports. For FDM printing, use a 0.1–0.2 mm layer height, 20–30% infill, and PLA or PETG; supports will be needed under the running board, wheel flanges, and cowcatcher. Pre-support the filigree sections carefully to avoid print failures on thin bridging geometry.
