Description
The Freightliner Class 70 PowerHaul is a modern heavy-freight diesel locomotive developed by GE Transportation and operated primarily by Freightliner in the United Kingdom. This highly detailed 3D printable model captures the distinctive cab design, dual cooling fans, access panel arrangements, bogies, and underframe hardware of the real prototype. The pack includes multiple model variants — a solid-roof version and a windowed/lights version — along with bottom and end views for complete reference. Supplied as STL files ready for FDM or resin printing, ideal for scale model displays, dioramas, or model railway layouts.
Print settings
FDM printing is recommended for the main body using a 0.2 mm layer height and 15–20% infill; resin printing will better capture the fine surface detail on grilles, hinges, and panel lines. Print the body horizontally on its side to minimise support scarring on visible surfaces, and use light tree supports under the cab overhangs and bogie frames. The windowed variant exposes the cab interior, so consider printing that section in clear or translucent resin for best effect. PLA or PETG are suitable materials for display builds; ABS or ASA if the model will be handled frequently.
