Description
The Vespa 98 is the iconic Italian vintage scooter that launched Piaggio’s legendary line in the late 1940s, and this highly detailed 3D model captures its timeless rounded bodywork, spare wheel mount, sprung front fork, saddle seat, and period-correct hexagonal tyre tread. Modelled with production-accurate proportions across all six orthographic views — front, rear, both sides and two three-quarter angles — it is suitable for display scale models, dioramas, and collector prints. All geometry is provided in the vespa-3d.zip archive in STL format, ready to slice without retopology.
Print settings
FDM printing is recommended at 0.1–0.15 mm layer height with supports enabled for the handlebar assembly, front fork, exhaust, and stand legs; orient the main body upright to preserve panel-line detail. Resin (MSLA/DLP) will better resolve the fine Vespa script badge, grille slats, and tyre tread, and is the preferred technology for display-quality results. Use PLA or ABS for FDM; standard grey resin for display prints. An infill of 15–20 % is sufficient for decorative use; increase to 30 % if structural integrity is needed for assembled parts.
