Caterpillar 854K Wheel Dozer STL 3D Print Model

The Caterpillar 854K is a massive mining-grade wheel dozer featuring a wide semi-U push blade, four oversized off-road tires, articulated frame steering, and a prominent rear engine compartment with characteristic louvered grille and tall exhaust stack. This highly detailed 3D model captures the operator’s cab with ROPS safety cage, access stairs, hydraulic blade linkages, and all major exterior components faithfully reproduced across multiple views including a windowed/lights variant. Supplied in STL format, the model is well-suited for display scale builds, diorama pieces, or collector replicas at any chosen scale. Two model versions are included: an open cab version and a windowed/lights version.

Print settings

FDM printing is recommended for larger display scales (1:50 or bigger); resin printing is advised for fine details such as the grille slats, hydraulic lines, and cab railings at smaller scales. Print the main body flat on the bed and split the blade assembly separately to minimise supports. Use supports under the cab overhang, exhaust stack, and blade arms; an infill of 20–30% is sufficient for structural display pieces. PLA or ABS work well for the body; PETG is a good choice if the model will be handled frequently.
