Description
Highly detailed 1:4 scale replica of the Soviet ZIL-157 inline-6 flathead engine, as used in the iconic USSR military truck produced from 1958 to 1994. Every external component is faithfully reproduced, including the carburetor, starter motor, air filter, copper fuel lines, and gearbox bell housing. Perfect for dioramas, display models, or as a collector’s centerpiece. Supplied as a ready-to-print ZIP archive compatible with both FDM and SLA/MSLA printers.
Print settings
SLA/MSLA resin printing is strongly recommended to capture the fine surface detail visible on pipes, bolts, and ancillary components; FDM is viable for larger structural parts at 0.1–0.15 mm layer height. Print complex sub-assemblies (carburetor, fuel lines) separately and in their flattest orientation to minimise supports. Use tree supports with a 45° threshold and 15–20% infill (gyroid) for hollow structural parts; solid infill for small detail pieces. Post-print assembly with CA glue; paint with military olive-drab acrylics for an authentic finish.
