Description
The Horch 901 Kfz.15 is a highly detailed 3D printable model of the iconic WWII German medium cross-country staff car, produced by Auto Union’s Horch division and widely used by the Wehrmacht. The model is offered in two variants (v1 with closed canvas top, v2 with folded top and open interior) and features exceptional surface detail including the characteristic vertical-bar grille, round headlights, riveted bodywork, full interior with steering wheel and seats, and detailed undercarriage. Scaled for tabletop wargaming or display purposes, it fits 28 mm / 1:56 scale conventions typical of Bolt Action and similar systems. Files are provided in STL format, ready for FDM or resin printing.
Print settings
Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to capture the fine rivets, interior detail, and soft-top fabric texture visible in the renders. Print the body upright at a slight rear-upward tilt (15–20°) and add light supports to the underside, front bumper hooks, and windscreen frame. For FDM, use a 0.2 mm layer height, 20–30% infill, and print the soft-top canopy flat to avoid stringing. The open-top v2 variant exposes the interior, so orient it cabin-side up and support the folded canvas roll carefully.
