The IS-3 Heavy Tank is a Soviet late-WWII heavy tank developed in 1945, famous for its distinctive pike-nose hull and hemispherical turret. This highly detailed 3D model captures every characteristic feature: the stepped front glacis, rounded cast turret, external fuel drums, road wheels, track links, and roof-mounted DShK machine gun. Suitable for display models, tabletop wargaming dioramas, or scale enthusiasts, the model is provided in STL format ready for slicing. Geometry is clean and optimized across multiple angles as shown in the included render views.
Print settings
FDM printing is viable for larger display scales (1:35 or bigger) using PLA or PETG with 20–30% infill; resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended for smaller scales to preserve fine surface detail on the turret facets, track links, and external fittings. Print the hull and turret as separate parts oriented flat-bottom down to minimize supports. The long gun barrel should be printed vertically or at a slight angle with supports to avoid sagging. Post-cure resin parts thoroughly before assembly.
