Description
The P&H 4100XPC is one of the world’s largest electric rope shovels, used in heavy surface mining operations, and this highly detailed 3D model captures every element of the real machine at a 1:50 scale. The model includes the crawler undercarriage, full superstructure with operator cab, dipper arm, wire rope rigging, sheave wheel, clamshell bucket, walkways, staircases, and machinery deck details. Designed for collectors, diorama builders, and mining industry enthusiasts, the model is supplied as STL files ready for slicing and printing. The level of geometric detail visible in the wireframe views makes this an exceptional display or scale model piece.
Print settings
Due to the large number of fine components — including rope cables, railings, staircases, and the dipper assembly — resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to preserve surface detail. Print each sub-assembly separately and orient flat structural elements horizontally to minimise support scarring on visible faces. Use supports selectively on overhanging cable guides and bucket teeth. For FDM printing, a 0.1–0.2 mm layer height with 20–30% infill is suggested; the crawler tracks may require individual link printing for best results.
