Description

Highly detailed 3D model of the MAN D2866 LE403 marine diesel engine, faithfully reproducing its characteristic rectangular block, exposed top valve train, turbo piping, intercooler, and large flywheel housing. Ideal for scale dioramas, engine bay displays, or marine/industrial vehicle builds. Delivered as a ZIP archive containing print-ready mesh files. The level of surface detail makes it suitable for both FDM display models and high-definition resin prints.

Print settings

Resin printing (MSLA/DLP) is strongly recommended to capture the fine pipe work, bolt heads, and gear details visible on the valve cover and exhaust manifold area. If printing in FDM, orient the main block flat on its largest face to minimise layer lines on visible surfaces. Supports will be required for overhanging pipes and the circular flywheel end plate. Suggested infill of 15–20% with 2–3 perimeters is sufficient for a display model; use grey or metallic PLA/ABS for an authentic industrial look.
