The Volvo FMX Tridem Tipper is a heavy-duty 8×4 construction dump truck featuring a Meiller-Kipper tipper body, fully detailed HQ interior with dashboard and seats, and a tridem rear axle group. The model includes highly detailed undercarriage, suspension components, driveshafts, and a spare wheel, making it ideal for scale modelling and display dioramas. Available in 1:24 and 1:35 scales, it is delivered as a multi-part STL file set, print-tested for FDM and resin printers.
Print settings
This is a complex multi-part model best suited for resin printing (MSLA/DLP) at 1:35 scale to capture fine cab and chassis details; FDM is viable at 1:24 scale with a 0.2 mm layer height. Print the cab body and tipper box upright with minimal supports on flat undersides; chassis rails and axle components print best lying flat. Use a 20–30% infill for structural parts (chassis, axles) and 10–15% for decorative panels. ABS or PLA+ is recommended for FDM; water-washable resin for the 1:35 version.
