Description
The Sandvik LH517i is a highly detailed underground mining LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) loader rendered as a full 3D printable STL model. The model features an articulated frame, large-volume rock bucket with cutting edge teeth, open operator cabin with ROPS structure, exposed engine bay, hydraulic systems, and all four massive pneumatic tires. Two cabin variants are included: an open-frame version and a windowed/lights version, plus a detailed undercarriage view. Scaled for display or tabletop use and supplied as a ready-to-print STL file.
Print settings
FDM printing is recommended for the main body sections; resin printing is advised for fine hydraulic lines, cabin interior details, and small fittings. Print the two main frames (front and rear) separately and join at the articulation point. Orient each half horizontally with the underside facing up to minimise supports on exterior surfaces. Use 20–30% infill with a wall count of 3–4 for structural rigidity; PLA or ABS are suitable materials for display purposes.
