Renault VAB 4×4 APC with Machine Gun STL 3D Print Model

The Renault VAB 4×4 MG is a wheeled French armored personnel carrier widely used by the French Army since the late 1970s, here modeled in its 4×4 configuration fitted with a roof-mounted machine gun turret. This highly detailed multi-part STL model captures the vehicle’s characteristic angular hull, four large off-road tires, armored windshield, rear troop compartment, top hatches, and pintle-mounted weapon assembly. Available in 1:24 and 1:35 scales, it is ideally suited for collectors, diorama builders, and tabletop wargamers. The file package includes separated components for chassis, upper hull, turret, gun, and wheels, all print-tested for reliable results.

Print settings

FDM printing is recommended for the larger scale (1:24) using PLA or ABS at 0.1–0.2 mm layer height; resin (MSLA/DLP) is strongly advised for the 1:35 scale to preserve fine surface detail. Print the hull halves flat on the build plate to minimise layer lines on visible surfaces; the turret and gun barrel should be oriented vertically or at a slight angle with light supports on overhangs. Use 20–30% infill for structural parts and 10–15% for decorative panels. The wheels print best lying flat with no supports required.
